Like "Athame", this is a song I began a while ago, before leaving it at the "unused project" status, before going back into it.
For this one, I used a VCV voicebank of Totoko, the Hoppu one (or "cute" append, because I haven't downloaded and repaired yet the other VCV banks for her). This is why she is sounding way more childish than usual. But at the same time... For notes that have a length of 1/32 measure... Impossible to use the CV one.
Story: about a psychopath girl who can't feel any empathy and feels she has to be the "enemy" of the society: independant, free of any rule, afraid of nothing.
Title: Between "psychopath" and "path"... Too easy. This is funny because in Japanese the pun works very well, but in French... Meh. "Path" translating itself into "chemin" in French... Doesn't work a lot anymore. Seems it works only well in Japanese and English.

Another type of dubstep, more chill, which seems to be like trance at the very beginning but reveals its true identity few after.
I knew that Itako had a strong voice, and here... It's just perfect!

As for the story, I removed as much violence as possible here.
Music: falling wub by Hybrid, vocal dub and resonance pad by GMS, all the rest (the atmo, the gated pads, the pluck/arp, the screaming lead) is done with Toxic Biohazard. This gives a celestial and spatial ambience, very light compared to other dubstep songs I made until here.

Do you want to know a funny thing? The demo instrumental was actually abnormally long due to the gated pad repeating itself and itself. On a computer, almost impossible to detect it and I noticed it during the second test on the mp3 player. And for the demo, on the computer, I decided to shorten a bit the end. Big mistake... Now I repaired this into FL itself. Instru and song have the same length (if we exclude the mp3 treatment "latency"). And the song is ending normally!

[EXTENSION] Added bridge before pitch change
[MIXDOWN] Lowered atmo volume (0.9 -> 0.7)
[REMOVAL] Removed first intro part
The song is actually the same length almost. I set the atmo a bit too high in the demo. The purpose of this atmo was to make the song less empty.

Long time I didn't do any hardcore, and I remember for last Tei's birthday I also did a hard techno track, so let's get back to it with the VCV voicebank.
(For those who are wondering if this song is about the Pig Killer, there is already the song Petulantia about it.)
So yeah, I can tell that the song "MYS" quite inspired me for this one! I just did a more industrial/urban atmosphere.

The lyrics are maybe repetitive, but at least it goes straight to the story.

I'm quite tired for the moment, but I'm still standing. So I have little info about covers for the next months and a new tracklist.

The covers for July and August are cancelled (yeah I did triple upload for June instead, for special occasion). They will resume on September, one week before the album airing date for the concerned month, and it will be "MYS" with Yukari Lin. Since the time I wanted to cover this song... And if you want to know what delayed this cover so much... Problems of repro build. Impossible to replicate some effects until the new tries few weeks ago.
Like usual, it will be on MQube.

Speaking of deadlines by the way... The second deadline for Akari is August 30th. For me that's quite great news since she is very late compared to the other regular singers, now she will be at the same level as others... ^^ The date has been written on the song automatic deadlines document, where you'll find every deadline for each main and regular UTAU/Vocaloid I use.

Next ones on the list?
Meiji, CUL, Lily and Akari all have deadlines in August. So... Keep an eye on it!
